My first driver’s license photo was a four year reminder of how stupid I was! Two days before I had to go in for my driver’s test I was on the beach drinking with a bunch of friends. I got stupid and drank way too much. Who knows how to pace themselves at that age? I jumped in the ocean to cool off. But mistimed my dive into the wave and ended up hitting my face on bottom of the ocean. I split my head in one, perfect line from my forehead to my chin. But there was nothing that was going to stop me from getting that license. I took the driver’s test. Passed it. Then took my driver’s license photo. For four years every time I looked at that photo it reminded me of how stupid I was. My first car was a DATSUN 1200. Best car ever. I ran it into the ground. I one point, in college, my friends joked that you could point to ANY place in the car and there was something that didn’t work properly.
